Review: Necessary Provisions

Opened by the same people behind 'Henry Congressional', Necessary Provisions is yet another ulu cafe tucked right in Eng Kong Terrace.

The mandatory shot of this old school bicycle. It's kinda like their icon?

Planted right in the middle. How cool.

Likewise to Henry Congressional, the pandan chiffon is to die for. One look and it has the 'I'm soft and fluffy, eat me up now' all over. However, it costs $4 for a tiny piece. :/

I got to say the menu was really limited and random? Haha! Like it can have western sandwiches and suddenly you see a kong pao rice. Wells, that's a good strategy to cater to multiracial Singapore. :)

We went there about 2pm on a weekday and only the sandwiches were available on the menu (they have more for dinner).

Flourless chocolate cake, $4

If you're a chocolate lover, you'll definitely love this super dense and rice 'cake'.

Soy latte x Beef Pastrami Sandwich.

I guess Necessary Provisions isn't the right place for you if you're looking for a place with good food. It however is a good place if you need some alone time with a cup of good coffee. :)
