Can you guess what was the theme judging from this photo? Heh.
It was VEGETABLE! I know right! I was blew away when Grace set the theme. T.T
Initially I just wanted to make a yam pancakes, however I thought it will be too simple! I shouldn't always stay in my comfort zone right?
In the end I made a Okonomiyaki inspired vegetable pancakes.
I have a yam batter containing frozen vegetables, onions, nori and cabbage. After which I topped the pancakes with more nori, toasted black & white sesame seeds, desiccated coconut and generous amount of BBQ sauce!.
This was my first savoury pancakes and to my surprise, it was really really really really yummy!!! Definitely going to recreate this again as a dinner dish for my family. :D
Of course, I'll share with you what the girls made! ^^
