Bangkok Trip 2013: Day 4

On our last day of the trip, we hurried down to Chatuchak, weekend wholesale market, before our flight at night.

Chatuchak Weekend Market is one of the world's largest weekend markets. In fact, the market has reached a landmark status of being a must-visit place for tourists.

Its sheer size and diverse collections of merchandise will bring any seasoned shoppers to their knees – this is where you can literally shop ‘till you drop’. However, also because of its size, the market can be a little messy and difficult to navigate too. So do checkout the site map before heading down! :)

Of course there need to be food, ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE.

Nobody comes to Chaktuchak without trying the freshly made coconut ice cream.

*cries* I need. T.T

Seriously, I have never loved coconut so much till I met this. :')

Chatuchak (Clothing & Accessories (sections 2-6, 10-26)
Direction: Mo Chit station (BTS), take exit no. 1 and follow the crowd until you see rows of canvas stalls selling clothes. Turn right while continuing to follow the crowd and you will see a small entrance that leads into the market (clothing section). Otherwise, flag a cab.

Didn't spend too long at Chaktuchak since we need to check out of our hotel before 1pm and I wanted to save some final shopping at Pratnaum Wholesale Market as well.

Final lunch at Shibuya 19, just across Platinum Mall.

Pad Thai.

Papaya salad.

Had another wrap to share. :D

I miss the food in BKK! T.T

Anyhow, more snacks that we got from Platinum food court.

No idea what's the name of this gem, but it's a must try!

Vegetable balls, a little too oily but definitely yummy!

Finally, we cabbed down to the airport as it was almost impossible for us to take the airport city link with our baggages. Thank god traffic was quite smooth too despite it being peak hour. I must say we were really lucky throughout the trip for not being trapped in any jams or caught in any riots. ^^

Thank you boy for making the trip possible and a memorable one. <3

Love,
Lirong.
