Recipe: Banana chocolate loaf

Although I already have 4 different banana loaf recipe in my collection, I'll always in the look out for more! I just can't get enough of the heavenly smell of banana bread/cake. So here is another attempt of a banana related loaf, this time with the addition of chocolate.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3 medium bananas, mashed
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 cup chocolate chips

Method:
1. In mixing bowl, cream butter before adding in egg, vanilla, and bananas, beating thoroughly.
2. In a separate bowl, combine sieve flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add to batter and mix well.
3. Divide batter into half and add the cocoa to one portion of the batter. Spread that portion into the bottom of a greased baking pan. Spoon the second portion of batter on top, swirling gently with butter knife if desired, and sprinkle with chocolate chips on top.
4. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes or skewer comes out clean when inserted. Let it cool completely before serving.

Note that for my recipe, I do not add any sugar to it. I believe that the sweetness of banana is more than enough to sweeten the loaf, any additional sugar is just a burden to your waistline. ^^

Yes, trust me. Let banana's natural sweetness do the job. :)

Up close to the banana chocolate loaf. SO MOIST! :')

I think this is my favourite banana bread recipe for now. <3

Do you have a banana related recipe to share with me? Don't be shy to drop me an email or leave a comment! ^^

Love,
