Recipe: Meaty Egg roll

This is not a flower, this is a meaty egg roll. :D

This was one of the rare occasion when I've decided to do away the usual Chinese food for dinner. I made pasta for the family which is definitely not going to fill their stomachs so I thought of making this meaty egg roll as well.

Egg crepe ingredients:
4 eggs

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 Tsp cornflour

Egg crepe method:

1. Heat up the wok with 1 Tsp of oil at low fire. Lightly beat the eggs and add in all the seasoning. Do not over beat!

2. Pour the egg batter and cook like normal fried egg. Do not overcook as over browning it will not look as nice.
3. Once the surface has cooked through, remove from wok. Set aside for use later.

Meat filling ingredients:
250 g minced meat
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp minced shallot
1/2 tbsp light soy sauce
Meat filling method:
1. In a mixing bowl, add in minced meat and all the rest of the ingredients and seasoning. Use a pair of chopsticks and mix in vigorously till the meat is sticky and pasty like.
2. Spread the meat filling on the egg crepe (like how you make sushi).
3. Then from the meat covered side roll it in like a swiss roll, tightly if possible. Then wrap the whole roll in plastic wrap and close up the opening ends.
4. Gently place the egg roll in the steamer and then steam at medium-low fire for 20 minutes.
5. After steaming, gently remove and let cool completely before unwrapping and cutting it up.
6. Drizzle some Thai sweet & sour sauce on top (optional).
