Review: Stamford Catering // Bro's ROM solemnization

Last weekend, the bro held his ROM solemnization at home.

Was rather emotional seeing my little brother becoming a husband of someone else. :') Heart warming at the same time to be able to witness and celebrate with him as he enters a new stage of life. :')

What I'm able to say is on my Dayre, you can read more about the bro and his wifey's love story there! ^^

Oh yes, we decorated everything all by ourselves! ^^

Special thanks to Papa Sun and Mr Tan for putting in the biggest effort, especially in blowing the balloons.

Leaving the details for you to read on my dayre. This post, I want to write about the buffet cater that I've engaged - Stamford Catering Services

Come to think of it, I can consider myself as a loyal customer of Stamford and Select Caterings (the latter is non-halal)? Hahaha!

Because I've been engaging them for their catering services since my 21st birthday party!

On a side note, what caught my attention about Stamford Catering then was the biodegradable plates that they use! I think 5 years ago, Stamford was one of the first few to use this type of environmental friendly plates? So this was the reason why I've been supporting them all this years and recommending to my family and friends too! :D

Probably have tried more than 20 times of the catering buffets from Stamford/Select Catering check out my previous reviews on them!

Before I go into the food that I've order, I really must say this again! I'm so happy with their services!!

There was a heavy downpour that day and the two poor men had to set up the buffet spread in the rain. Felt so bad that they have to work in the heavy rain. :(

However, they did not show any unhappiness/black face or whatsoever. They were very professional and finished the setting promptly and nicely for us!

They smiled and greeted us politely, took my suggestions for the arrangement of the food and tried their best to give what I want.

Really touched by their professionalism and their positive attitudes. :')

Anyway, I had the Yuletide Holiday Feast, which is their special festive menu for this Christmas.

I thought since Christmas is just round the corner, why not an early celebration with the extended family as well? ^^

Oh!!! I just recalled that last Christmas, we had a mini buffet from Stamford Catering as well!! Hahaha! Ok, totally random. :P

There are 3 starters for this Christmas menu, first up is a healthy garden salad, which was mostly untouched.

LOL!

Sushi and Maki Platter was well received!

Actually I could safely say that everything was well received!

Except for the very healthy salad of course. :P

Gourmet Ham Platter.

Wish there were breads and cheeses for me to make a nice sandwich! :P

For carbohydrates, there are both rice and pastas! Which is quite good to meet the different taste buds of different guests. :)

Japanese Unagi Garlic Butter Rice.

Spaghetti all’Amatriciana.

I love the rice more! Because garlic butter rice alone is irresistible~ and there's even unagi! :D

The sauce for the pasta.

Honestly, because of the way they have positioned the pasta and the sauce, we got confused. Haha!

It took me a while to figure that out. :P

To accompany the rice/pasta are 6 other savoury dishes!

Australian Beef Hot Pot with Vegetables.

We chose beef hot pot over lamb and I'm so happy with this choice!! Because this is like the favourite dish of everyone? Goes so well with the rice and even the pasta! :D

But my personal favourite was this. :D

Golden Pumpkin Butter Cream Prawns.

The prawns were real big and juicy! Mum, the seafood lover, approved. Heh. Seeing the family enjoying the food is way better than myself enjoying the food. <3

Anyway, I like this because.. Pumpkin!! Get it, get it? Haha!

The sauce was brilliant! I realized there was a bed of potato wedges underneath and it was so yummy!! I love it soggy! :P

Oh. There was a crispy yam shell too!!

Basically perfect dish for me. ^^

Thai Style Spicy Sour Norwegian Salmon.

Basically like the name suggests, it's like Thai style sweet and sour fish just that this is salmon.

Love it too! Another culprit for having me to go for more rice! Haha!

Cajun Spiced Turkey with Chestnut Stuffing.

Don't look like turkey at all? Because they have sliced the turkey nicely for the diners!

Baked Scallop in Marinara Sauce.

Another big favourite too! I love the sauce!

Actually I notice how they have cleverly make use of sauces to spur the appetites of the diners!

Last but not least, Garlic Broccoli & Baby Carrots with Mini Abalone.

Enough of savouries, not forgetting our sweet tooth too!

On the Yuletide Holiday Feast are 2 desserts.

First is a Belgium Chocolate bread pudding served with Vanilla Sauce, it was well received by my guests!

The other one was Mini Minced Fruit Puffs.

If you’re looking for a Christmas buffet catering for the upcoming festive, I'll recommend the one from Stamford! We were so full but couldn't stop ourselves from getting more because food was so good and satisfying! :D

A picture of my greediness. :P

My #ootd for that day.

Thank you Vain Beauty for making me feel pretty. ^^

Ohana. <3

Hijacking their big day. Haha! :P

Beautiful capture by Qiao!

Forever and always. <3

Welcome to the big family, Xiao Miao. <3

//

On a separate occasion, the cousins and I decided to have an early Christmas feast! Actually we just wanted to have a simple meet up. Hehe..

Chocolate Truffle Log Cake, 1kg, $38++.

Want that all chocolate lovers will adore! This cake was super chocolatey and super rich! The 7 of us demolished the entire log cake with ease. :D

Chicken Shepherd's Pie. $22++

I actually popped it into the oven again to make the surface slightly more crisp.
Love shepherd's pie~

Roasted Turkey with Chestnut Stuffing & Pan Gravy, ~5kg, $98++.

We are honestly not a big fan of turkey, but what's Christmas without one right? :P

When everyone got too excited over the food. Haha!

With my girls again. ^^

<3

More Christmas feastings coming my way and hopefully your way too! ^^
