Recipe: Asian Tofu salad with assorted fruits and nuts

I love cafes, especially one that offers "all-day brunch' menu! However, we know how pricey cafe food can get. :/ 

Previously I have shared with everyone a recipe on my take of Shakshuka, now I'm going to share with everyone a quick and easy salad to go with your mains (could even eat it as a main as well!^^). 

Asian Tofu salad with assorted fruits and nuts, inspired by my favourite Asian Tofu Salad from The Soup Spoon!

Lettuce of your choice
Fruits of your choice (pear, apple, grapes and orange used here)
Firm tofu, cubed
Cherry tomatoes
Nuts and seeds of your choice (sunflower seeds, walnuts and almond used here)
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
Italian salad dressing

1. Heat up a frying pan with the vegetable oil, pan fried tofu till golden-brown. Set aside.
2. Toss all the ingredients (except lettuce) in a big bowl, drizzle in the Italian dressing, adjust the taste to your preference (I usually add about 3 Tbsp of it)  
3. Lay the lettuce on a plate before dishing the salad mixture on it. 
4. Serve immediately or refrigerate to serve cold. 

This salad is really versatile so there isn't a definite method that you need to follow or standard ingredients. Just go as you wish! ^^ I usually prepare this beforehand so that I can enjoy my salad cold. :)

By the way, this is the brand of salad dressing that I use, Kraft's salad dressing. You can get the 100% fat free one from Cold Storage. :)
