2 weeks back, Mr Tan and I were in the East and we had 3 hours of spare time before our next appointment. So we decided to cafe hop in Bedok! Since we are around the area? Hehe.. Just nice, I can continue my cafe hopping in the East series! Hahaha!
Annyway, I was extremely excited about it because it was our first time cafe-hopping, alone, and it was so impromptus! Heh. :D
First stop: Percolate
Heard so much about the good coffee here and I definitely want to bring the coffee lover, Mr Tan, here! :D
It's a really small cafe which specialises in coffee! So don't come here and look for brunch food eh.
Hahaha!
But there are some good selections of cakes and pastries to go with your cup of coffee!
In the end the owner recommended Mr Tan to try a coffee that contain 1 shot and milk. No name for it. But it tasted somewhat like cappuccino and flat white in between!
It was good! Mr Tan really enjoyed his coffee!
He saw this chocolate matcha bundt cake and immediately bought for me. :')
Thumbs up to this cake from the both of us! It's was moist and buttery! That type of cake that both of us like because goes well with coffee!
Anyway total bill came up to be $9, $4.50 for the coffee and cake each!

Finally made it here after missing their tasting invitation. :D
Wide range of gelato to choose from! Pity that their plated desserts were not available that day when I was there. :/

We decided to go for the charcoal waffles with salted egg york sauce that everyone comes here for! Haha! My choice of ice creams were sea salt matcha with azuki as well as roasted pistachio.
Paid $6 for the waffles (gourmet) and $3.90 for each scoops of ice cream!
Tried to pour and shoot at the same time. Failed miserably. Hahahah!
I would say the gelato here is worth coming for but not so much for the waffles. The latter was crispy but tasted so hollow. :/
And I really isn't so much of a fan of the salted egg yolk with waffles ice cream kind of combination. I thought it would be much better to leave it there with the caramel sauce (which was good!).

Anyway we were cafehopping in the weekdays late afternoon, so no problem for us in finding a seat! :D
Ice Lime Tea, $4.50.
We love the ambience here because it was so quiet? Haha! Maybe because it was an awkward hour of ~5pm, so we were like the only customers then!
Full Tank, $13.90.
Bratwurst sausage, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, toast, tomatoes, baked beans and sausage.
I almost can't believe it when I saw the price, $13.90?! And when the portion was being served to us I was like "WTH! Why did I pay like $20++ in other cafes? :<"
Full Tank is definitely one of the most value-for-money brunch set anywhere!

Actually we intended to head to Bedok 85 for BCM, but the waiting time was too long. So we decided for waffles and ice cream, AGAIN!
Maybe because I bake? I never crave for cakes, but I'm constantly craving for my waffles with ice cream!! hahaha!

Mr Tan was surprised to see me coming back with a plate of waffles because he thought we were going to have ice creams only. Hahahaha! How can that be?! Ice cream must go with waffles! Heh.

After this foodilicious time in Bedok, Mr Tan and I officially are in love with this place! :D We love the neighbourhood vibe as well as the good and reasonably priced cafes in the area!

Anyway, after the calorific cafe hopping day, Mr Tan and I went for a 10km run the next day. LOL! Also an impromptus one. Hahaha! We actually ran from East Coast Park all the way to Gardens by the Bay and back to East Coast Park! Well, read my dayre for full coverage. :P
The point I want to emphasize is, eat well and exercise well! A lot of people have been asking me how do I keep myself lean with the food that I'm eating? Haha! Genetic may be part of the answer, but I believe very much in an active lifestyle too! :) So besides eating A LOT together, Mr Tan and I will try to set aside time to exercise as well! Hehe..
