Review: The Sushi Bar

Tucked at a corner in Far East Plaza, The Sushi Bar is never short of crowds during lunch/dinner hours.

They serve the standard dishes like sushi, sashimi, Japanese-style pastas and donburi (japanese rice bowl). The Sushi Bar is already very popular, so try reserve a table before heading down or go there during off peak hours. Otherwise, be prepared to wait in line!

Oh boy. I'm missing the food by just looking at this!!

Chawanmushi, $2.80.

Smooth and silky. Pretty average chawanmushi I would say.

Salmon Aburi Roll, $14.50.

THIS. Yes. THIS! You have to try. Probably the 'culprit' for the long queue outside the sushi bar too. The seared mayonnaise and salmon flavours just burst in your mouth with every bites! I can't decide if I prefer Shiok Maki from Koh Grill & Sushi Bar or this. Just give me both!! :D

Chirashi bowl, $19.90.

Closer look to another favourite of the night. Probably also because of this I became a chirashi convert. The sashimi were so fresh!! I have never love sashimi so much seriously. :')

Sirloin steak, $14.90.

Seared only on the exterior, the centre of the meat is still so red and juicy and so tender! Oh, be sure to dip it into their special sauce at the side too! :)

The vain-pot boy who just had a nice hair cut.

The Sushi Bar is certainly a well hidden gem in Far East Plaza, offering quality food at much affordable price!
