Review: Jamie's Italian Restaurant // Benjamin Browns @ The Forum Shopping Mall

Had a dinner invitation from Jamie's Italian sometime back, at their new outlet - The Forum!

I probably have walked passed The Forum a million time but this was my first time actually entering the mall! Haha! Too many shopping malls in Orchard. :P

So this calls for a standard #ootd shot since, I'm at Jamie Oliver's Jamie Italian right? :P

ps: This was taken just a while after my trip from BKK! Probably won't be writing a travelogue for this (didn't even write about my Japan and Hongkong trip. :P), so you can just read my dayre for my itinerary in BKK. :)

Alright, back to Jamie's Italian. :D

The place was almost full house on a Thursday night! That's the power of Jamie Oliver right?

The place is big as compared to the normal restaurant size, but still smaller if comparing between the outlet at Vivocity.

Start off with some drinks.
I had a cocktail - Jamie's Italian mojito, $18.
The other 2 are non-cocktail - Refresher ($7.50) and Berry Blast ($8.50).

We had 2 of the appetizers on the menu.

Cured meat platter to share, $16.50 per pax.
Featuring 5 different types of cured meats! I like the ham the best because I'm not a fan of cured meats actually.

Cauliflower Fritta,$13.50.
Served with a very spicy arrabbita dip!

I like it so much that I just dig up the spicy sauce and eat without the fritta. :D

Then came the mains.
We ordered 4 must try items from the menu!

Pizza is a not to miss over here. In fact only available at the forum outlet! These are hand rolled pizza dough by the way!

Left: Italian hot, $24.50.The main highlight is the spicy meatball! I really like it.

Right: Fungi pizza, $23.50.

I had 3 pieces and it says all.

The pasta is also house made freshly, every day!

This is the Penne Carbonara, $24++. If you prefer the not so jelak version of carbonara, this is it!

Grilled pork chop, $40++.
Grilled under a brisk, the  pork chop was so lovely done! It was served along side some crispy cracking, which is your 猪皮 in another word. Haha.

My favourite, partner in crime. <3

Because Lirong must have desserts! :D

Tried 3 of their desserts and a dessert cocktail.

Panna cotta, $11++.
One of my favourites because the panna cotta was so rich and creamy! Definitely not another milk pudding.

If you're a big chocolate fan, this super rich brownie, $13++, is for you!

I like this lemon meringue cheesecake, $13++.

In fact I requested to have this because I'm a sucker for lemon meringue anything! :D

Overall, I think the food at Jamie's Italian is not bad and the price range is quite affordable, considering that it is in Orchard Road!

Highly recommended if you're thinking of having dinner in town but didn't want to be trapped in the crowd. :)

Since we were at The Forum, we decided to check out one of the newest and most frequently posted picture on Instagram, over the top milkshakes!

There are quite a few flavours. Think about 4?

Although I heard Nutella is the better one, but I didn't want something so chocolatey, especially when I just had a super rich brownies early on. :P

So I had the old school! Old school because it's the basic vanilla milkshake with everything old school on it!

Actually I think the vanilla milkshake isn't that bad.

It wasn't sweet at all! Maybe after eating all the other sweet stuffs and cream, the milkshake wasn't that sweet at all, relatively.

And it wasn't a lot too! I had expected the milkshake to be very disgusting. Hahaha! Like filled with lots of whipped cream!

I highly recommend  that you share the calories! Hahaha!
