Like what I will always do, this post will be on all the yummy goodies I've received from the different brands! ;')
If you haven't gotten enough of your CNY goodies to last through the 15 days, hopefully this will be useful for you! ^^
#randomfact I always buy way too much food during CNY and we'll take months to clear them all! LOL! But that's the great thing about CNY right? Buy more, share more. ^^
Tarts/Cookies/Cakes
1. Bakerzin
Bakerzin's auspicious pineapple tarts has always been one of my favourite pineapple tart! This year, they even have a parmesan cheese pineapple tart, it is topping my chart now. :D

Besides the tarts and cookies, this vanilla & chocolate lapis surabaya cake , $52 for 900g, $28 for 450g, is one of my favourites too! Highly recommended for those who love kueh lapis especially!
Tried 4 of the festive selections.

Tried the pandan gula melaka cake, golden pineapple tarts and citrus butter cookies.
The citrus butter cookies is in fact the hot favourite among my family!
But what I'll highly recommend is the pandan gula Melaka cake, $52 for a whole cake.
The last time I tried was a year ago, the cake was a bit too dry for my liking. But now the cake has improved so much! It's buttery and moist! Full review here.

Yuzu pear cake, $28 and mandarin orange macarons, $25.80 for 8.
I thought the yuzu pear cake is especially creative! Those koi fish on top are super cute! While the macarons were a bit too sweet for my liking, the cake was a good one!
Looking for the perfect gift hamper? Thye Moh Chan's one is really gorgeous with the old school feel!
I'm definitely keeping the gift basket! Haha!
Kueh/Bun
A sister brand of CP food, if you're wondering. :)
Anyway, this is calling for all yam lovers to come and try! Taro and ginkgo bun in the shape of longevity peach! Yes, orh neeeeee~
You can find this at all major supermarket! :D
We had a feast with old school carrot cake, yam cake, red date cake and nian gao! Seriously, I'm never a big fan of nian gao until I tried the ones from Old Seng Choong. Tasted (and look) so different from those overly sweetened ones!
Read my full review on dayre! :D
While the yam cake from Old Seng Choong were satisfying, I find myself liking the ones from Li Bai more.
Why?
BECAUSE HUGE CHUNKS OF PUMPKIN AND YAM!
Oops, pardon my excitement. :P
If you don't already know, I'm a mega huge lover of yam and pumpkin. :P
Steamboat
9. CP Food
Yearly, without fail, my family would get CP food's wonton and dumplings for our steamboat session. This year, we tried their chicken cake. Well, not really a cake but it was so niceeeeee~ I actually prefer it grilled/air-fried though. Haha! Highly recommended!
Read my review here. :)
ps: this is a porridge steamboat if you're wondering! :)
In love with the dumplings and wanton from Wong Kee! They were so big and juicy! Another must try if you're looking for good wanton and dumplings that are handmade! ^^
Review over here! :D
What's steamboat without shabu shabu? We had some really good ones from Emporium Shokuhin.
1. A5 Miyazaki beef (my fav!)
2. USDA prime Striploin
3. Kurobuta pork belly
Tips to share~
If you're lazy to boil your own soup broth, the soup stock from Emporium is actually quite good! I made it that day and we love how light and sweet the soup was!

Alright, this is the end! ^^
This post is not just about the CNY goodies. This post is also showing how active I am on my dayre and how inactive I am here. LOL!
