Review: Hungry Heroes @ Tessensohn Road

Having the impulse to write about this cafe because I've just caught Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice!

Have you? :D

Shall not say anything about the movie just in case I spoil it for anyone. :P
But I bet there are more than enough spoilers on the net. Haha!

Anyway, Hungry Heroes located at Little India, is a 2 storey high cafe filled with all the superheroes displays and things!

Last week, Mr Tan and I went for a media tasting @ Din Tai Fung's Paragon outlet.

Do you know that this year is Din Tai Fung's 12th year in Singapore?

To celebrate the 12 years of success, the household brand has introduced 12 new dishes, exclusively available at their flagship outlet in Paragon, Orchard.

Hello everyone! Because I have been eating too much around Bugis area, so I've decided to compile the places that I've been to into a few posts! Well, Bugis is like a place where youngsters, like me (lol!), hang out right? Hehe..

So yup. I'm starting with the 3 cafes that you probably will want to visit when you're cafe hopping in the area! :)

First up, Hyde & Co. located along North Bridge Road!

Cafe hopping in Bedok: Percolate // FatCat Ice Cream Bar // Refuel Cafe // Milk & Honey Gelato

2 weeks back, Mr Tan and I were in the East and we had 3 hours of spare time before our next appointment. So we decided to cafe hop in Bedok! Since we are around the area? Hehe.. Just nice, I can continue my cafe hopping in the East series! Hahaha!

Annyway, I was extremely excited about it because it was our first time cafe-hopping, alone, and it was so impromptus! Heh. :D

First stop: Percolate

Heard so much about the good coffee here and I definitely want to bring the coffee lover, Mr Tan, here! :D

PAVO Hair Studio @ Nassim Road // Hvala Waffle Bar @ 313 Somerset // Jasons the Gourmet Grocer @ Orchard Towers

This post is kinda random. Haha! All the random things that have happened to me for the last 2 weeks.

So random #1 - Did my hair at PAVO Hair Studio! :D

Ok, I guess regularly readers would know that my hair is very lucky to be sponsored and well taken care of by Phyllis, from PAVO.

So 2 weeks ago, I went to her for my monthly hair care and she suggested that I do a hair treatment call Keratin Hair Treatment. I trust her, so I agreed immediately! Haha.

Left: before.
Right: Phyllis was tidying up my hair! Very honestly, I always love the way she does my hair. ^^

Review: Shin-Sapporo Ramen // Alfero Artisan Gelato // Yili PaoPao Ice

Located at the very happening Orchard Gateway (so many food joints! :D), Shin-Sapporo Ramen serves up authentic ramen, following an age-old recipe! By the way, Shin-Sapporo Ramen and Atmosphere Bistro are managed by the same company!

Also, the humble ramen shop seeks improvement and adds surprise elements to their menu seasonally! Following their well received "sake ramen", this season 2 additional ramens have been added into their menu! So a few of us friends were invited to try out the 2 new items on the menu! :D

Review: Density Frozen Custard @ Short Street + GIVEAWAY

Have you heard of frozen custard?

I'm starting to imagine your "???" expressions. Hahaha!

I was like you too, frozen custard? Custard that is frozen? LOL!

Well..

Frozen custard is essential a type of ICE CREAM!

A little knowledge for you on the history of frozen custard. Ok don't fall asleep yet, something exciting is waiting for you at the end! :D

It is unique to USA, dating back to 1919! Because of its extremely low overrun and high butterfat content, frozen custard is categorised by the USDA (US Department of Agriculture) as a super premium ice cream!

Review: BOCA Singapore @ Bukit Pasoh Road

Good news to all food lovers! The one and only authentic Portuguese Restaurant is one opened in Singapore, BOCA Singapore!  BOCA means "mouth" in Portuguese by the way. The restaurant is opened by 3 Portuguese friends themselves!

Honestly, you ask me what do expect from a Portuguese restaurant? I have no idea. Haha! The only thing I know about is.... Egg tarts. Lol!

But that's good that we came with zero knowledge about Portuguese cuisine! We are all ready to learn more from the tasting. :)

Review: Ponggol Nasi Lemak + Chye Seng Huat Hardware + Milk& Honey @ Jalan Besar

Have been wanting to visit this cafe for the longest time! Had that they are really good with their coffees! So happy that we finally found the time to pay Chye Seng Huat Hardware a visit. ^^

Are you getting confused with my words? Hardware shop selling coffees?

Yup. Yup! It used to be a hardware shop if I'm not wrong. Until a group of people took over the space to revamp it into a cafe, still keeping the original name.

I would say Chye Seng Huat is part of the first wave in Singapore's cafe scene? So far they have been doing really good despite the huge competition in the industry!
