Review: Ssikkek Korean Grill BBQ Buffet @ Oriental Plaza

What is the first thing that come into your mind when think of Korean food? I'm sure other than kimchi, Gogigui or Korean BBQ is one of the hot favourite.

With its flagship outlet at Novena Ville (now shifted to United Square). I have really good experiences over there! In fact I probably have been to Ssikkek  twice or thrice before this.

For this visit, instead of going to United Square, we decided to go for the one at Chinatown, Oriental Plaza because it is more spacious and I head food wise is different?

Opened by a Korean lady, you can definitely expect authentic Korean BBQ here. We were here really early, 6pm. Thus it was relatively quieter. However, once it hits 8pm, the queue outside was MADNESS! Also, if I'm not wrong, no reservation is allowed after 7pm? Correct me if I'm wrong.

So it's always good to be an early bird!

Awesome spread of MEAT!

I counted, there were 10! Ranging from chicken to pork, beef and lamb!

Samgyeopsal for you?

Pork belly I mean. :D

FREE FLOW! You read that? Carnivores, aren't you excited? ^^

Well, if you don't fancy meat (then why are you here?) there are also other non-meat items available, though limited.

Cooked food as well! I really love their Japchae that I just kept going back for more! :D

But the highlight is definitely the MEAT.

No oil needed, just let the fats from the pork belly melt under the heat.

What I like is that although the restaurant is seriously busy, service was really prompt. We were quickly attended to and our grill was constantly changed without us asking.

For the price of  $14++ for weekdays lunch, $22++ for weekdays dinner  or $24++ for Friday, weekends & PH Eves and PH. This is definitely my favourite place to get my Korean BBQ craving fixed. :)
