What?? I'm only at day 3? Why does it feels like I have already written a lot of posts on Taiwan? I think I'm never going to finish my 9 days journey. :X
btw click here to go back to the posts that I have blogged on Taiwan! :)
So we planned a day trip to Xin She 新社 on the 3rd day of our trip. It has to be a day because Xin She is very far away from the main Tai Chung area and it is highly inaccessible. Thus, the most logical way to get to Xin She is actually to book a driver for the day. :)
But of course, the down side of booking a driver is that it's very expensive. To get a driver who is willing to drive you to about three different places of attraction, it will cost about NT2500 - NT3000.
So the driver suggested that we head to Lavender Cottage 薰衣草森林 first since it is the furthest away, before we head to Summit Resort 古堡花園 and finally Carton King 纸箱王 before coming back.
Sounds good and here we go~
Lavender Cottage 薰衣草森林.
The entrance fee is NT 200, of which NT 100 worth of coupon would be given to you for purchasing of items inside, sike food or souvenirs. What a smart way to get consumers to buy their items right?
There are a lot of 'props' like this in the cottage, totally a photography moment for me. :P
Spotted another one as we walked along the trail.
Lavander Cottage is actually quite small. You can easily cover the entire area within 2 hours.
It is divided into two main area, one is this, kinda like a lavender garden.
A kind Taiwanese who saw us #welfiing, offered to help us take a photo. So nice right? We met quite a few of such nice people in Taiwan! :')
Whoa. A Lavander field~
Also, at the very top, you could find this wishing tree.
Basically just tie your wishes on it. :) Oh, there's a large bell for you to ring after you've made your wishes!
Because we have ample time before meeting our driver, and also we need to spend the NT 100 coupon, we had some drinks from the cafe.
A lavender flavoured coffee, which we find it to be too exotic for our taste buds. :X Otherwise I really love the ambience of the cafe. It's really like dining in the woods. Also, their service is really very good! I think we should just like the Taiwanese train our local service crew la. Lol!
Btw, if you're thinking where to have your lunch, I would suggest lavender cottage! Compared to the other 2 places, I feel that it offers much more appetizing food choices!:)
Our second destination was the Summit Resort 古堡花園. I was dying to come here after all the photos that I've seen online! Totally the kind of place I can live in forever~
Admission is NT 250 if I'm not wrong, again you've NT100 or NT 150 (can't rmb) coupon to spend.
For now, let's just pretend that I'm in Europe. :P
Omg.. I'm a sucker for such places. *.*
Can I live here forever? T.T
I feel like I've finally found my ground. LOL. #overlydramatic
Part of the castles that you can find here. So old England I feel! Mad love~
Hi, welcome to my house. Heh. :D
Snapped like so many photos here because everywhere is so photogenic!! Thank god it didn't rain, otherwise I'm just going to cry~ LOL!
Anyway, Summit Resort didn't disappoint at all. It's so beautiful~ if you love anything flowery, vintage or castle, do visit this place! You'll die here. Happily of course. LOL
Anyway, we stayed here for about 2.5 hours because we had our lunch here. Food choices definitely can't beat Lavender Cottage. We were really regretful that we didn't have our lunches there instead. T.T
Finally we moved on to our final destination, Carton King 纸箱王. We had a brief tour at Carton King 纸箱王 when we were at Cing Jing, though it was much smaller.
A Zoo made of carton. Seriously amazing~
How about this? *.*
So awesome right???
And this sums up Carton King. LOL!
It's a really small place. Guess that's also good because I was really tired after the walk at Lavender Cottage 薰衣草森林 and Summit Resort 古堡花園.
Just gonna pretend I'm in Europe~ #cheapthrill
I'm really impressed with the delicate work of the people! So I showed my appreciation by snapping photos with each and every masterpiece. LOL! But seriously, it's impressive.
Oh, did I mention there's admission fee too? I think it's NT 200 and you'll get NT 100 worth of coupon for spending. Similar to Lavender Cottage 薰衣草森林 and Summit Resort 古堡花園.
Hi there, meet my cool friends! :D
Something special about their restaurant. Do you notice?
Cheers to you if you do notice that everything is made of carton here. The seats, the menu, the table and even the cups to hold your beverages.
Innovative to the max!
'Plates' that are made of paper too.
An eye-opening experience at Carton King 纸箱王 I would say. :)
Btw, if you're wondering what is the contact of my driver. I won't be sharing his contact because I feel that he isn't the best driver, so I shall not recommend him. :)
