Recipe: Pork Chop

A random Sunday when I've decided to make something special for the family. Days like this really doesn't come by easily especially with work and commitments. :/
#imissmykitchen

Ingredients:
Bone-in pork chops
Satay peanut sauce (optional)

Marination: 1 tablespoon light soy sauce

1 tablespoon Shaoxing rice wine

1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 tablespoon corn flour
a dash of sesame oil
a pinch of pepper

Method:

1. Rinse and dry the pork chops. Tenderize pork chops with the back of a chopper.
2. Mix all the ingredients for the marination in a container big enough for the pork chops. Marinade the pork chops for at least 8 hours or overnight.
3. Before cooking, remove the pork chops from the marination and pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
4. Heat the cooking oil in a non-stick skillet on medium heat. Pan-fry the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes each side. Transfer and wrap the pork chops with foil. Let them rest for 8-10 minutes before serving with satay  peanut sauce (optional).

Served with baked beans and balanced with greens instead of the usual fries. :D

Love,
Lirong.
