Hello everybody! Its me again ~~ The dedicated guest contributor (aka the boy) for Lirongs. Since the Chief is busy these days, you guys will be hearing more often from me! Hope you guys will enjoy my post just as much as the girl's! :D
So here we are at Day 4 of Taiwan, Hualien!
The view of the blue seas and blue sky are just so captivating that we can't stop posing with them. heh heh The only sad thing is no swimming is allowed as the waves can be quite strong even for a strong swimmer. So if you are thinking of going for a dip, maybe not!
I have to say the train ride from Taichung to Hualien is kinda crazy. OMG! Approximately 5 hours in total which is longer than our flight duration. So please bring some snacks along or try the Gao Tie Bian Tang (can be purchased when you inside) to fill your stomach! The train in Taiwan are very punctual so do not be late and oh yes, please purchase tickets at least a day in advance. We were both surprised that even the 7.25am slot was sold out. So we ended up taking the train at 5.50am. *.*
Kinda miss the railway track which you could hardly in Singapore because of the rapid urbanisation here.
The girl in her "chui" look to show you that the train has arrived but not on our platform! Few more minutes to go and we are dying to just sleep on the train.
The train seats are pretty comfy and the legroom is awesome, much needed for people with long legs like me. :D
After close to 5 hours of train ride, we finally reached our hotel! The hotel we stayed at is called Hotel Bayview. We were unable to find any deals on agoda and so we booked directly from the hotel website. We got a honeymoon room with balcony and paid close to $100. For the view that it offers from the balcony, we both felt it was value for money.
Their 24hrs cafe, which provides tea, biscuits and computer for you to surf the internet.
LOVE the interior of the room and the concept, feels like we are so close to the sea.
Don't worry, you can draw in the curtains when you wanna use the bathroom :P
The view from our room. But the photo doesn't do justice to the view. So much nicer and the breeze… Wooohooo!
At their cafe where we had our breakfast (international buffet style).
The girl said she loves the interior design.
Looks awesome isn't it!
The best thing about this hotel is that they provide free bicycle rental for you to cycle around the bay. Maps are provided and it takes approximately 3 hours for you to complete the trail. If you are a usual target of mosquito, please bring along insect repellent unless you plan to donate your blood.
Me doing what i could best - Jump shot. Since I could not pose properly, I decided to jump. haha!
Was not able to capture the girl doing jump shot as her jump is really toooo low. Oops! But it was claimed that I did not capture it at the right timing.. So who's right? haha..
I have to say this is the best angle I have managed to capture so far, it seems as if the girl is just next to the sea ya? But she is actually at a height above the sea with many stones underneath.
So like what all tourist did, a picture with this famous stone.
High tide settling in!
And this marks the end of our stay at Hualien part 1, read on to find out where we go next!
