Review: Herbivore Japanese Vegetarian Restaurant

Dinner with the girls some time back. Ok, correctly. It was a long time back. Hahaha! Screw my backlog. :/ 

Anyways, Herbivore like the name suggests, it is a Japanese vegetarian restaurant. Though a Japanese restaurant, western choices could be found on their menu, which we didn't try. 

Honestly, if not for my vegetarian friend I definitely wouldn't be caught here, let know that Fortune Centre is actually the vegetarian paradise! 

Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not complaining about going meat-less, in fact I love my veggies. Furthermore, how do you resist a table of food like this?! :O 

We actually ordered a party set (definitely more than enough for the 5 of us) to share as well as some a la carte. Below are what we had from the party meal.  

Agedashi tofu.

Potato salad. 

Vegetable tempura.

Mock salmon sashimi. 

Miso soup.

Mock unagi.

Can't figure what vegetable is this, it tasted quite slimy. :/ 

Udon.

Grilled eggplant.

Mock sushi platter. 

Can't remember the exact amount we paid for the party set. Probably $80? Which was shared among the 5 of us, so the price was reasonable for the amount of food we had. I would totally recommend this value set to you if you're coming in a large group. 

Silly us thought that the party set wouldn't be enough so we ordered even more. Lol. How wrong were we. 

Mock sashimi.

Didn't quite taste like the real deal, but close enough. I think these few pieces costed like $25.

Of course it has to be me, even if  it means paying $5 for this pathetic few pieces. 

Grilled shiitake mushroom with cheese. 

If I'm not wrong this is $16 and I highly recommend you to get it! So so yummy!! <3

All of us enjoyed our dinner at Herbivore. In fact I'm really impressed by the food quality here though the service was a bit slow. Nonetheless, it was a great experience! 

We definitely over-ordered and over-ate. But we just gonna comfort ourselves by thinking 'hey it's vegetarian after all.' :P
