Review: Morganfield's @ Suntec City // Morganfield's rib pass [GIVEAWAY]

Back to Morganfield's after almost 2 years? But this time round it was a hosted dinner at their latest outlet at Suntec City! 

I remembered when I dined at Morganfield's @ Star Vista, I was really impressed with the food and service. So I was actually looking forward to this dinner! ^^ You can read my previous review of Morganfield's here. 

Got to say, nothing really have changed? Which I think is a good thing for Morganfield's. :)

So this was dinner. :D

I'm sure long time readers won't be surprised by this amount of food that Mr Tan and I ALWAYS eat. :P

The previous time I had a huge platter to share, so this was something different for me. :) 

To start off, we had 2 appetizers from the menu. 

Chilli Cheese Fries, $12.90. 

French fries baked with cheese & topped with pork bacon bits, served with chilli concarne. 

My take is, just eat! Forget about trying to take a perfect photo of the pulling of the cheese! Haha! 

The cheese hardens really fast, not helping with the restaurant being so cold.  

Crab & Spinach Dip, $12.90. 

Crab meat and baby spinach cooked with Parmesan cheese, served with corn tortilla chips. 

Was kept sceptical about ordering this when our host kindly recommended us. 

But boy, I'm so glad I did! 

The crab meat dip was really flavourful, especially with the hint of Parmesan cheese in it! Not too cheesy, just right for me.

 But I guess, it works because of the crispy corn tortilla chips! Thank god those weren't 'lao-hong' ones. Haha! 

Alright, moving on to the mains. 

Do you know that besides the famous Morganfield's sticky bone ribs, there are also a number of mains to try as well? 

I confess, I've always flipped to the section on ribs directly. :P 

Blackened Salmon, cooked to medium, $28.90.

Norwegian salmon season with Cajun spice and grilled to your choice! 

Yes, Morganfield's is one of the very few restaurants in Singapore that allow diners to choose how well they want their salmon to be cooked. :) 

By the way, the pilaf rice was so flavourful! I really like it! 

I love flavoured rice in general. Heh. ^^

Tequila Spiked Chicken, $22.90. 

Half chicken marinated with spicy Tequila and lime paprika, served along with french fries and corn bread. 

ps: I'm a big fan of Morganfield's thick cut fries (I wish they have a truffle fries version soon! :P) and corn bread! :D 

I'm not a big fan of chicken, the meat tends to be on a dry side when not cooked properly. Luckily, I didn't have this issue at Morganfield's. The chicken meat wasn't whitish when I sliced across, it was slightly pinkish. :) Wish the Tequila taste was stronger though.  

Anyway, there are more than just ribs on the menu! Besides chicken and fish, there are also items like seafood, beef, burgers, sandwiches and more! :)

Then of course, you don't come to Morganfield's without trying their sticky bones! 

I decided to go with the classic - Hickory BBQ Spare Ribs, $26.90 for half slab, $39.90 for full slab.

 (4 more flavours available). 

The pork ribs were so tender!! 

Let add in the word fork. 

Fork tender, I should say. Not to mention that the marination was so on spot!  

I hate to sound too greedy, but I really could do with a full slab instead of a half. :P 

Yes, we could still do desserts after all the savouries. Well, maybe just me. :P

Chocolate lava cake, $14.90.

This is like a must try when you're here at Morganfield's! I have a feeling that they use dark chocolate instead. This is one of the richest, molten chocolate I've tried! 

Read, it's rich but not overly sweet. I could still taste the bitterness from the chocolate. Damn shiokkkkk! :D 

In the background (sorry bad photo), is a bread pudding, $9.90. If you're not a big fan of chocolate, or wanting a different dessert for a change (I know chocolate lava cake can be so mainstream), give this a try. ^^

Bread pudding isn't exactly a very common dessert in Singapore? It's so underrated! The version here is served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whiskey sauce! I hope that whiskey sauce got you interested? :D 

Morganfield's do craft beers now as well! Specifically, American Craft Beers. 

Friends, beers and meats (dessert to end). 

Tell me what not to like about this combination? 

Instead of friends, it can be a best friend too.
