Review: Afternoon high tea @ O'Coffee Club

Ok, I'm going to continue with my birthday weekend! :D

Read about my birthday celebration @ House Dempsey here! :)

The day after my birthday, I started my day with a baking session! To bake a birthday cake for myself! (read it up on my dayre). Then Mr Tan and I went for a afternoon tea tasting @ O'Coffee Club! I think that weekend our blood sugar must be sky high! We had vintage hight tea just the day before and now another round of high tea. Heh. :P

Things we do to entertain ourselves. Haha!

But I'm quite happy that compared to the day before, my face was less swollen! I had my wisdom tooth plucked if you're wondering what I'm talking about.

From now till 30 April 2015 (2.30pm to 5pm), you get to enjoy this pretty afternoon set at just $28++!

Each 3-tiers caters to 2 guests, but I think this can definitely feed more than that! So even if you bring along 3 or 4 girlfriends to share this tea set, it will still cost you $28++ as well!  If you do the math, this is really wallet friendly!

A better view of the spread! Everything comes in 2 pieces by the way! Also the tea set includes a choice of O'Coffee Club's premium coffees or gourment Gryphon teas! You get to choose 2 sets of course! ^^

Bottom tier:
BKT sandwich
Smoked salmon sandwich
Ham&ochre de sandwich

His favourite tier because it's savoury. Lol!

Anyway, the sandwiches were really good!! Because of the bread used, ciabatta and focaccia! Can't go wrong with focaccia especially! So flavourful~

Middle tier:
Carrot cake (cake was moist, but I think it do with more cinnamon flavour.)
Chocolate and orange mousse (too sweet for my liking even!)
Apple cinnamon crumble (couldn't taste the apple cinnamon filling at all.)
Peanut butter macaron (macaron tasted too hollow.)
Almond biscotti (not a fan,)
Chocolate eclairs (not bad)

Not the best, but generally above average still!

Top tier:
Raisin scones, which are really good!! Buttery crust and pillowy soft inside!

I was secretly happy that he didn't like scones. All mine! Hehe.. :D

On the side, you'll get verrine: a passionfruit syrup soaked sponge served in a petite glass!

Feel so lucky that this birthday, I get to enjoy not just a vintage high tea that I've always wanted to try, but a 3-tier high tea that is also on my 'to-try-list'! ^^

Anyway, if you're turning 25 this year,  this afternoon tea set will cost $25+ only! This is in conjunction with O'Coffee club's 25th anniversary celebration
