Baby J's 100th Day Celebration

Happy 100th Day my sweet little pie!

It feels like yesterday when I've just given birth to this little one? Look how big she has grown! :O

As much as I love her small she was at her infancy stage, baby Jaylene is so interactive now! The way she communicates with us, in her baby language, is like she also really trying to respond to us! Haha! She is also very smiley and her smiles never fail to brighten up my day. :')

Anyway, back to the 100th day celebration, initially we didn't plan to have one since we've done a full month party for her. (You can read on it here with some tips to planning one!) So anyway, while thinking on how to celebrate Mother's Day, we realised that her 100th Day is nearby too! So we decided to do a double celebration. Just with both sides of the family. ^^

Merry Christmas 2015

We are no Christians, but it's a yearly affair for the bro and I to cook a Christmas feast for the parents.

This year no less. Except we have an additional helper, my sister-in-law! ^^

The Hello Kitty Fondant Cake was baked especially for her! She is one crazy fan of Hello Kitty, not me. :P

Recipe: Bibimbap (birthday dinner 2015)

The last of my birthday post! :P

Read part 1 here, where Mr Tan brought me for a failed surprise vintage high tea at House Dempsey! Haha.

Part 2, where we had a cosy afternoon tea (yes, more sweets for us. :P) at O'Coffee Club.

So finally, it's time to celebrate with my family. :)

Well, usually we will head out for a buffet lunch/dinner, but the brother suddenly wanted to make a feast for me!

Oh wow! It's definitely not an everyday affair that the bro is so willing to cook, of course I agreed excitedly! Heh.

So he asked me for a cuisine and naturally, Korean came into my mind first! So Tadah~ presenting my Korean feast right at the comfort of home! :)

Recipe: Sushi Rolls + Valentine's Day 2015

Another "later-post" which was more than a month late. :P

Again for memory sake, I'm going to read about our simple Vday together. In fact our 2nd Vday as "SUNTAN". Hehe.. (read my dayre for more recent + instant updates! :D)

So as you can see. We did not have any fanciful Vday dinner at any restaurant, which would have very much up-marketed the price because of this occasion. Mr Tan and I are quite rational creatures. We don't believe in paying X2 or even more of the usual price just because it's Vday. So instead, we made our own feast! ^^

Recipe: Japanese Strawberry Shortcake

Sorry everyone, it has been a long long time since I last blogged on a recipe. Not sure if anyone miss my recipe though. Hah.

Ever since, I learned to baked my own cake, I have made a point to bake for my family on their birthdays or on special occasions, like Mother's Day. Except, this year, I have an extra challenge. I have to teach the boy, who absolutely has no idea on baking, to bake a cake for his mother as well.

Yes, it was a challenge bigger than baking itself, because I have to bake something that I think he will be able to do it as well.

Lunar New Year Day 10

Skip, skip skip, moving on to Day 10 of CNY. A very eventful one in fact.

The day started with a brunch at this organisation which my Elder Uncle is currently chair-ing.

OOTD.

A 7 course dinner-style brunch.
#foodisjustfoodanytime

The Uncle giving his first speech as the chairman.

Ok, after the event we had to 'gallop' right to my cousin's house warming.

Love love the design of her house, especially the wallpaper! Too prettay~

I thought I'll be too full to eat but we had another plate of food. :/
#fatgirlinaskinnybody

Second lo hei of the day. Not complaining because I can really eat lo hei all day, any day! Hahaha! But people, please be more gentle with when you're lo hei-ing ok? :/

More photo spamming before I headed to my next location.

That's filled with food, again.

Had potluck with GAMBITS.

Bought along my fav pumpkin salad (recipe can be found here).

and a strawberry tofu cheesecake!!! Yes, I'll be sharing the recipe very soon! :)

Glad to receive positive reviews from all of them. Yay!

My 3rd lo hei in a day.
So I'm bound to HUAT for the entire year right? hahaha!

Yum x 1000000000

<3

I'm surprised that my stomach didn't burst after an entire day of eating non-stop. Lol!

CNY 2015 I'm looking forward to you!!! heh. Till then~

Lunar New Year Day 2 + Day 3

Continuing my CNY series. Here's Day 2 of the festive!

OOTD to another house visit at Qiao's place.

Another catered buffet for lunch.

Bonding time with the younger generations. Gosh, am I old?

These two cute pies totally made our day!!!

Hello, I have sexay butt.
LOL!!

An entertaining afternoon with the little ones before we headed off the my Da Jie's place.

She prepared a table of homecooked feast for us!

Everything was so good considering the fact that it was her first time cooking up such a storm! *clap clap*

I definitely have a very blessed stomach the entire CNY. :')

Moving on to Day 3, also the official last day of holiday for most people before going back to work.

Finally, it's my family's turn to host the relatives.

Yes, if you haven't realised, we don't hop around many places in a day, in my family we take turn to host each other everyday.

Wells, some may feel that it's 'boring' to stay in one house the entire day? For my family definitely not. In fact most of the time we feel that the time isn't enough for us to spend together!

The boy's having a great time himself with the kiddos definitely. <3

Ending this post abruptly, so see you for the next one. :D

Love,
Lirong.
